Your Invention

Renaissance artist, Leonardo DaVinci, is known for his notebooks of drawings and inventions. Create your own original invention, drawn in detail, and colored. Your drawing should fill the entire page. Label the various parts carefully. Type a paragraph on Google docs explaining what your invention will do, how it works, and how it will improve life. You may use paper or the Sketchbook app on your iPad. Your idea can be realistic, or crazy and far-fetched!

Create a detailed drawing which has both foreground and background elements. The drawing should be in color, and fill a whole page. Your drawing does not necessarily have to use orthogonal lines. I will be looking for creativity, neatness, and details!

Perspective Word
Use your knowledge of perspective drawing to create a full-page, color design, with a word drawn using one-point perspective. Draw a word in block letters, and attach the letters to a single vanishing point. Your word should have at least 4 letters. Incorporate symbols and patterns into your design.

The future is here! Draw a detailed scene from your new life, 500 years in the future. Draw your sketch on paper and photograph it with your iPad. Use the drawing as a base layer and color your drawing with the Sketchbook app on your iPad. I will be looking for creativity, neatness, and details! Your sketch should fill an entire page. None of your original drawing on paper should be visible.
Write a paragraph explaining at least three of the ways your life is different, and turn it in as a separate Google doc.
