7th Grade Sketch Assignments
Sketchbook assignments are due every other Wednesday!
Sketch 5
Veteran's Day Presentation
due 11/6/2019
Create a patriotic drawing which honors our veterans! These will be part of the slideshow at our Veteran's Day Assembly, so make your drawing as neat as possible. The songs which will accompany the slideshow are "Thank You Soldiers", and "Let Freedom Ring". You may use one of these titles as inspiration, or do a general patriotic theme. Color and outline your drawing! You may incorporate text, but make sure it is neat, and carefully drawn and outlined. Do not just draw an American flag, but you may incorporate one into your design. You will be assessed on neatness, creativity, and detail.

ACTION!
Using your iPad, find a photo, or take a picture of yourself or someone you know, in a pose which demonstrates some foreshortening. Add a pattern or design to the background, to create some contrast! Using your knowledge of gesture drawing, draw the figure accurately, using the techniques we practiced in class. Submit your source photograph along with your drawing. Your drawing must be done on paper!

Write a paragraph on a Google doc explaining how you showed each principle you chose. Your drawing may be done on paper, or your iPad. As, always, I will be looking for detail, neatness, and creativity.
